The terms for the newly evolved one aren't great though, are they? I haven't looked in detail but I don't think they are able to support a sector.
...which is what's going on at local level, or attempting to...as per Liverpool City Region who stated to government 'we'll shut down if you pay for it'.

Just a matter of time before they find the cash...and the sales pitch for it to pacify the Tory backwoodsmen.

Many wont reopen either - the film industry has taken a hammering.

I went the cinema a few weeks and there is barely anything showing and was dead anyway.

The big distributors. are biting the hand that feeds here, if they released films then people would go.

Tenant got released in an effort to save cinema and show it can be done. As well as it did, sadly no one followed.

The smaller independent distributors are being much more flexible and are keeping the independents going.

When we went we saw that Candyman advertised which was produced by the makers of get out I think - apparently now its been pushed back til 2021 which is a shame as we would have gone to have watched it.

This is shoite isn't it. Autumn barely underway and the numbers shooting up already. From what I can see here in Germany little is being done by the government or the hospitality industry to facilitate socialising outdoors. Bars and restaurants are starting to get packed with windows and doors closed. Quite curious to see how things are gonna look by late October but I'm not particularly optimistic.

This was a key adaptation imo, and delivery.

Joker is back on my local this week, I'll probably go again to see it just to support the cinema and staff, also some film about the chicago 7.

Let’s be honest though, large scale outdoor socialising from October through March simply isn’t realistic in countries like Germany and the UK.
