There`s quite a few pubs it`s happened too and they`ve had the place deep cleaned and open within 24 hrs, minus staff with the virus.

It`s yet another " lets scare the life out of everyone " story from the Echo.

The Hare and Hounds was my dads old mates pub, I`m sure @Eggs knows it ?

It`s a brewery run pub ( Punch ) and isn`t a " scallie " pub in any shape or form.

The licensee will have been led by Punch on this, but the Echo makes it sound like they`ve given the floor a bit of wipe, changed the loo rolls and opened up again.

Nothing to see here.

....I think it’s a warning, though, that this virus is very much in the locality. I’m getting detail from my daughter which would be wrong to communicate here, but the situation in Liverpool is alarming.

I do as I’m told as far as she is concerned, I didn’t go for a pint last weekend and I won’t be for the foreseeable future.

I urge folk to follow advice.

What’s your take on all this mate regarding lockdown curfews etc..?
I mean you seem to be more qualified than most of us as your missus and kid have got it.

Has your missus took or been given any medication, If so what has she taken to help her?

Only meds are the same as for a cold,
paracetamol, ibuprofen and plenty of liquid.

My take on it remains the same as it was before, managed restrictions, testing / track and trace.

I also think ( imo) that we should be stopping people from leaving and entering the country for anything other than essential travel for the foreseeable.

I’m seeing first hand the economic impact of this now, as two of my mates who are cabbies have handed their keys back due to it not being viable for them to run their cabs, following the 10pm ruling.

Another mate, owns the Glass House in Stanley Park and employs a lot of staff. His arse has gone, as all his money comes from footy / weddings / christening etc

Not in terms of the hospital at least eggs. No surge in cases being admitted as of this moment , no undue pressure. Plans are starting to be made to prepare for that scenario however as you would imagine them to be.
