Sorry you had to find out like this, but Doris died. She caught covid.

If it's any comfort, she went out in typical Doris fashion; spending Tuesday refusing to wear a mask on her daily bus trip to the gym, followed by a swift half and a steak and ale pie in 'spoons, meet up with the grand kids mid afternoon, back to the home for tea and an illegal rave before bed.

RIP Doris.

Masks aren't an issue. If anything they make a lot of sense even without covid around, there's plenty of nasty I don't want from people and most people don't even wash their hands.

I doubt it tbh, you can only ring fence a group for so long and even then these things will find a way of getting through that's just how they work tbh. The so-called vulnerable group are vulnerable whether we are in a pandemic or not and they generally know how to look after themselves and get through rough periods (medical wise) it's the isolation that is the real issue at the moment imo.

There are two types of do gooders mate:

1. Ones who practice what they preach

2. Ones who are hypocrites and latch onto anything mainstream to come across as being socially conscious.

No 2 probably slate people for going for a pint or bite to eat but any other year would be coughing and spluttering all over their grandparents spreading God knows what.

At least Doris died having done all the things she wanted to do seeing her grandkids and having a steak! Because even without Covid tomorrow isn’t guaranteed for anybody.
