Hospital figures - 21 deaths were announced today, up 6 on yesterday and up 13 on last Saturday. 16 deaths were in English hospitals, up 2 on yesterday and up 8 on last week with 14 occurring in the past 10 days. The 7 day rolling average rises to 13.57

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 27 deaths were announced today, the same amount as yesterday and up 18 on last Saturday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 19.43

There has been no announced data for the 60 day and legacy cut offs as yet

Time lag puts the infections at 3 to 4 weeks ago......not great, even if the numbers, relative to spring, are small.

Definitely. There's something brewing here though, I don't think (and my goodness hope) that we will get the 1000+ deaths a day again but if we get into the 100s AND get into widespread non-compliance, I think the wheels might fall off civil society in a big way

I doubt there will be civil disturbance, if thats what you mean. That said, a few weeks back I honestly thought we were getting some grip on this; sake.

To be honest I just mean more of the stuff in Goat's link and people just breaking restrictions than anything else

But you know, in some of the leaked No Deal contingency papers way back in early 2019 there were fears of civil disobedience and unrest if certain things happened as a result of No Deal day one shock - and quite a few of them happened this summer
