The German scheme is very different IIRC
It's more about allowing shortened hours/short weeks etc. Employers can cut hours and the government pay a proportion of the hours that haven't been worked?
Please correct me if I'm wrong though!
Interesting ( I think) video from Sky
Reports like that are going to get people killed.
To all the active people in here if you had to guess
are pubs/gyms going to shut again soon/this winter?
is there going to be a “lockdown”
will they extend Furlough?

Yer thats it and if they dont extend furlugh can they fully close pubs and gyms? Not sureOnly my opinion, but I can`t see them going nuclear straight away - as we`re seeing with the rule of six.
I`m hoping that "if" things do come to that, they`ll do it stages.
Shorter opening hours for pubs and gyms etc.
I can`t see them extending furlough due to it`s cost tbh.

Also if they close everyhing, house gatherings will be everywhere all the time ( the thing they dont want most)
Yer good point, its about learning to live with it isnt it rather than the davek approch of lockdown for what could be 2-3 years? The problem as I see it, is that everything gets shut down, the infection rate drops. Everything opens up again, the infection rate goes up. Everything shuts down again, the infection rate goes down again - rinse and keep repeating.
It`s not sustainable.
