No it wouldn't because you are allowed to be in a social group of upto 6 people without the need to socially distance. Aren't you? Or have I got that wrong too?

Err unless I’ve got it wrong you have to adhere to SD within groups. I could have the wrong end of the stick.

So for me, as an example, I live alone and my parents are my bubble so they’re the only people on the planet I’m allowed to break SD with. (Ignoring things like getting things off cashiers etc)

Don't think so mate. If you think about it logically, if you were right, then on Goat's table of 6 for his wedding, they would all have to sit 2 metres away from each other. They'd need a table like in the boardroom in the Cunard Building lol

*shrug* I haven’t watched the news in months but that’s how I’ve always understood in. I’m sure someone on here will have the definitive answer though.

For the wedding example I think it’s now the 1+ metre anyway and I’d assume they’re couples etc. so not all spread out.

You are free to meet up with up to five other people indoors or outdoors from an unlimited number of households.

But what’s the rule on SD with said people that’s the conundrum. Like when it was very first announced we could meet up with people in groups outside they always said whilst adhering to social distancing. So I could go hang with my mates in the park with a beer as long as we spread out.

Have they removed the SD part over time?

We worked it out the other day there are 6 different households, but we are all in regular contact, so personally I consider all those people in my bubble.

You should be socially distanced from anybody outside of your household. But socially distanced essentially means as much as is practical.

If you book a restaurant table for six people and the chairs aren’t 2 metres apart you don’t have to move them away from the table.

Just don’t start licking each other etc.

Right well SD still applies that’s all that needed clearing up.

Was gonna say if it wasn’t to be applied then group size is irrelevant and everyone should just go back to normal.
