You’re happy for a lot of places to go out of business then and for thousands of people to be unemployed through no fault of their own?
No, I'm happy for the government (and owners of large pub and restaurant chains) to furlough hospitality workers. That's a political decision; other nations are doing it.

The crucial thing is to keep people safe - the public and employees. We are facing a massive second wave and shutting down anywhere where people congregate unprotected by masks for hours on end obvioulsy has to happen.

So you really think they are going to go home Sunday even if they were booked into next week? Honestly ?

Not to point this out as being obvious but kids are back at school so very likely that there will be minimal on holiday now (this week understandably).

So the only ones who will be on holiday now will be adults for the most part.

It's a really bad example you are running with here. It's a pandemic , it doesn't make sense to delay and create more damage.

And yes , you can have groups of 6 as per the law. You know how common bigger groups are than 6? Not very, do you often go out in groups of 7? Do you often see groups of 7 in places socialising?

No reason not to put it in place overnight.
I was at Barmouth yesterday, it’s full of families of all ages despite you assuming all kids are in school. It’s the same around Porthmadog, Pwllheli, cricceth and all along the north wales coast and Anglesey

Days out or an actual holiday?

Well I never spoke to all of them individually
lol

So your post kinda agreed with what I was saying.

Given the virus is spreading more, those families could have just stayed at home rather than get that day out in whilst there was a bit of sun. So of there is a rise in cases in those areas as a result, it probably would have been better not to give them a few days extra for a day out right?

All last week the beaches around Trearddur bay on Anglesey were packed with families on holiday, as were the local hotels, bars and bistros.... not day trippers as you seem to think.

As were the numerous caravan sites, camping sites, bed and breakfasts, holiday home rentals...... yeah ... but only for the day I’m sure

I know last week was still a holiday period for some. I know someone through the family who planned to go away last week and postpone their kid going back to school as a result. I'm sure in other times then a much bigger deal from the school's themselves would have been made.

Czech had over 1,500 confirmed cases yesterday, which is a new record, on a weekend. They're trying to present this spike as a natural consequence of more testing and a return to normality after the summer festivities. One of their papers was even quoting the Daily Heil yesterday in an article saying why they shouldn't panic
