There will not be drones flying around in most UK towns or smaller cities.

I'm lucky that where I live is pretty open. It's a suburb of a small city. I'll be able to go out if I want to.

I guess in inner cities and especially London it'll be different.

Fed up of it all anyway. It's already here and the only way to beat it is by, unfortunately, getting it.
Yeah really glad I live out of town. I don't think getting it sounds a great solution for my vulnerable parents and young nephew

Try not to worry mate. Are they able to just lock themselves down for a bit? Take the child out of school or nursery if she goes? I'm at a point where I don't know wether I should be calm or freaking out myself tbh. I'm not sure people in the UK quite get what's happening over here in Europe. I think you will be heading for lockdown soon. I am only guessing of course

I'm sure it's bad. In fact I know what it's like in a part of Spain atm as I have family there.

But I just can't see how they can place the entire UK on lockdown atm because frankly our economy can't sustain it.

It's gonna be dead weird.

Looking at it from a simple pov, I think the gov had the right idea. But they haven't tested enough and so it's too late to implement it properly.

We might be able to flatten it out a bit but I still see the peak hitting in the next 2-3 weeks.

All the best, mate. It must be horrid.

I'm trying not to worry. I definitely won't worry for me. Luckily I have no underlying health issues and I'm 25 and consider myself to be pretty healthy. Gym and run every day and what not. No athlete but I reckon I'll be fine if I get it. My stress is coming from a lack of work atm really.

My parents and sister are the same boat, pretty good shape. Worried a bit for my Dad as he had a really bad lung problem in the past and is 64, but that was over 10 years ago and for that last decade he hasn't had a drink, smoked and he keeps fit by cycling etc. So hopefully he'd be alright.

I was at a gig in London last week and in the city all weekend so have stayed away from elderly relatives. Don't want to risk passing anything on even if I wasn't feeling it myself.

Hmmm im sceptical tbh - population of 66+ million so 80% would mean 52+ million catching this thing in a year.

Assuming its been around for 2 months its not even reached 2000 known cases in the UK. Even at the Italian rate it wouldn't be anywhere near 80% of the population in a year.

This is my concern with the media alot of hysteria creates fake news and misinformation regarding statistics etc.
There will be around 50,000 ish cases in the UK now. The vast majority will go unreported because of the nature of the illness - barely affecting the young, or mild symptoms in many even up to age 60. And viral spread happens exponentially, not linearly.

The way it looks you'd be looking at 60% minimum IMO. 80% is a worst case scenario but isn't ludicrous.

To be fair, I know 2 people who had coughs and slight fever, rang 111 and were told it was a bad cold but if symptoms get worse, ring back.

Numbers are low as people arnt being tested.

It's all new mate. Who knows what the solution is. Weirdly I spoke to a medium last year and she spoke about my dad who's in care with dementia. She said he wouldn't die of dementia it would be of a virus. Maybe a blessing in disguise. Just not sure if anything happened to family if we could get over there. It's gonna be very surreal for all of us in the near future. Wouldn't want to be a taxi driver, in restaurants, retail, bars or anything like that right now

It's all new to all of us mate. Just have to see what happens in the coming months. It's pretty crazy. About to get crazier for you guys I feel

I just cant wait for the psychopathic panic buyers to hurry up so the rest of the sane people can shop for a loaf, some halloumi and pitta bread without it being like xmas.

That's what i am hoping. everyone has all their stuff now so I can sweep in for the fresh goodies. I would say though when they closed schools it went crazy out here

Don't give up so easily mate we're trying are darnedest. The snails must be defeated.

I know but how.

I went to the library and read up on their evolution then studied their physiology extensively.

Then i chaired an emergency meeting with the top Professors and academics around the globe to gain every bit of knowledge about their culture, their society. Anything that could give us an edge.

I was quickly taken by helicopter to a top secret military base where trialled the very latest in weapon technology while running artificial intelligence scenarios in every enviromment.

My conclusion is that it seems to have no weak spot anywhere.

The snail appears to be the perfect killing machine.

Don't say you weren't warned.
