Mummy and Daddy’s little super spreaders back to school.

Students back to University.

Young people who are fed up starting to ignore the rules.

Social distancing and hygiene becoming more and more lax in general.

People going back to offices and workplaces.

Winter approaching

An inept government in charge.

This is definitely the start of a second spike and unless they are willing to put in place some of the draconian measures of the spring, I personally doubt it can be avoided.

There cant be another national lockdown or the country will collapse and millions of jobs will go and not come back.

The NHS can cope. They did a great job.

I dont think (thankfully) we are in the same place now as March.
No it did not cope it virtually shut down just so it could manage the pandemic and still is not fully functional. It only managed because people locked themselves down.
Moving into lockdowns is about not overwhelming the NHS, there will probably be more measures to manage the pandemic to come...

I'm hoping that making minor restrictions stems the tide, because I genuinely fear I won't cope if it turns into a full lockdown and I wind up being made redundant

At what point do the government reimpose self isolation for those most at risk?

I would think we are getting fairly close to that point right now as cases begin to surge.

Notice how testing suddenly becomes an issue as cases surge... are the government attempting to manipulate the figures again. No tests = no confirmed cases!

It's totally being avoided, again the figures are barely scratching the levels of July.

If you didn't notice the British government made a pretty big oopsy in terms of announcing they are going to break international law. This is simply a diversion.

Living in a devolved Nation currently, I do snigger at what democratically England has done to itself.

20 kids in a classroom - sound.
15 people in a office room - sound.
6 people gathering in a house - alright you're breaking the law now.

Embarrassing.

Quite simply I can’t get my head around it , the messaging or how anyone can say it’s anything but ridiculous. We’ve just had a month where they’re given discounts on meals to get people out eating in restaurants, we’ve got posters on the tube saying get back to the office, the PM berating the leader of the opposition for not being fulsome In pushing the return of kids to school , ministers telling everyone how safe offices are , test events at sport to let crowds in and talk of subsidies to do offers for the ‘ arts and entertainment’ audience tickets and we’ve just banned groups of more than 6 gathering in houses.

For the life of me I can’t see it’s anything other than absolutely incoherent.

Only socialise if you have to use a credit card.
