Yer exactly this, asif people wont gather in more than 6 in a pub lol

tbh i thought the rule was 6 anyway, didnt even no it went up to 30

where do they pluck these random numebers from

The rules make no sense anymore. They are inconsistent and illogical.

We need to get back as close to normal as possible because the virus isn't going to disappear. We either learn to live with it or we stay indoors all day.

Yep theyve proved they cant handle it so just let us live now, hospital numbers wont even get that high again if people are showing commen sense, theyll obviously go up abit as there is more testing and things open again but gotta say 35/1000 postive and probably 30 of them without symtoms why should that scare you

I think the rules are them just showing they are trying something and also to raise awareness cos people are SLACKING.

They cant seriously think any of them are effective.

Pretty much yeah. But people were always going to start slacking. This all started in march and its now Sept. It was inevitable that people would start going back to normal every day life. Restrictions are short term measures and I supported them. But they won't work forever.

We are going to have to learn to live with this and let people take personal responsibility for their own actions. Its not ideal but there's no better option. Its certainly better than irrational rules were you cant have 7 or 8 people at a family birthday party but can head out to a bar thats packed and get absolutely rinsed.

Quite baffled by the sudden spike personally, suppose it ties into the kids going back to school, but as you say normal life has been in full swing for a LOT of people for quite a long time now.

Suppose there's a few people like @roydo who are taking it as seriously as they should, but almost everybody I know is living their old life pretty much.

As it was in March the NHS simply cannot cope with personal responsibility and a pandemic!

August bank holiday was proper mad busy, camp sites were rammed round my way, they looked like refugee camps!

When schools went back I think perspectives changed for a lot of people because routine returned and things felt normal again. I dont blame people for that either and its good to feel normality in some ways.

We need normality or kids will lose out on a good education and we'll have mass unemployment and a host of other problems that will being.

I cant even blame The Tory death cult much atm, sure they have made many mistakes, but like anybody has the real answers to this.

At this point anyway, things could clearly have been done better at the start, still cant believe we saw the tidal wave coming and we got our deckchairs out to greet it.

There were massive problems at the start but I dont think anyone on the planet knows for sure how we best get over this.

I have my own thoughts but no one can read the future unfortunately

Mummy and Daddy’s little super spreaders back to school.

Students back to University.

Young people who are fed up starting to ignore the rules.

Social distancing and hygiene becoming more and more lax in general.

People going back to offices and workplaces.

Winter approaching

An inept government in charge.

This is definitely the start of a second spike and unless they are willing to put in place some of the draconian measures of the spring, I personally doubt it can be avoided.

We are teetering on the brink currently.

Another Spring lockdown brings Mad Max without any doubt.
