Incidentally, as @Disgruntledgoat is free to go about his business in Belgium, I trust he's leaving a trail of wanton destruction behind so vast that even Poirot would struggle to put the pieces together.

DIdn't even give me the form to fill in on the border. Although I've not really got much to do at the moment, so my trail of destruction is limited to my own home, pretty much.

If the last few weeks have told me anything, I feel it's now quite acceptable to scrap schooling altogether and just give every young person some A* grades and be done with it.

Or maybe that we need to reevaluate how we grade and educate children as the current system is dated and inadequate.

It's been great to see working class kids energised to see the incompetence of a government that has no respect for them.

The thing is, the rest of the comment does fall back on data from around the world, which by and large has supported the view that schools aren’t a major source of infection. That does make more sense. Are they 100% safe? No, but what exactly is?

I do think in the grand reckoning we will need to look at the start of the outbreak and determine what caused the massive spread, I often wonder how interlinked the mass hysteria to shop at the beginning of this and viral spread are.
I mean statistically children aren't catching the virus. The number of them worldwide is minimal at very best to have an assumption they are passing it onto everyone.

Even the diseases and illnesses being loosely connected to kids and covid-19 aren't even 100% positive cases.

Day 5 in the quarantine house, and nope, not heard a dicky bird from anyone to check my whereabouts.
There was a chat about it on Reddit over the weekend, plenty said they hadn't, nobody piped up to say they had been. No real infrastructure in place. One stated that they weren't bothering to quarantine as they knew they wouldn't be caught as they didn't provide any data and had too much to do...

They're also going to police kids going to school. Seems somewhat unlikely.

If at some point somebody catches onto the idea that being able to remember things under time pressure is not a good assessment of being able to find and use knowledge to solve a problem or advance an argument then maybe some good can come of this.

However, I won't hold my breath. School is not a good place for clever people.

When and how did I earn this hotly contested honour?

I should point out that nobody is safe even when I stay at home as there are to guys working full time on replacing the bathroom whilst a small army are working on the outside of the building.

He was sufficiently impressed by your sprint up Hautucam that he overlooked the murdering you were doing. I couldn't speak.
