Just an observation really, but with nearly everyone wearing a mask now, social distancing has all but disappeared in store.

Same over here. Although since masks were made compulsory last week , compliance has risen from about half to almost 100%.

I know correlation does not imply causation but 100% of the non mask wearers in our shopping centre are 15-30 year old charvas, usually with the added attraction of a hand down the front of their trackies

I'm relieved to see Florida at only 26 per 100,000 to date, same as Iowa. When you consider the concentration of elderly down here, that's better than one would expect if you've been reading the news.

I'm not really sure what the plan is tbh. Infections were low already, so if this plan was less about lowering an already fairly low rate of infections, and more a case of getting people back into doing stuff...

The plan is to mitigate the expected increase in new infections from opening up the economy and reducing social distancing to 1m so pubs and restaurants could open

The police had a wanted organised shoplifting gang on their website. They were asking for help in catching them as they are nationwide problem.
We caught them and had them in our holding room for 2 hours and they couldn’t come out for that, let alone coming out as a customer isn’t wearing a mask.

It’s not compulsory to wear a mask here but I do wear one in the shops when I’m out and about. I went to a tool hire shop this afternoon and not 1 staff member had any face covering on at all. Tesco have however made it store policy for staff to wear a mask or a full face visor.

All settings - 123 is the announced figure, up 70 on yesterday and up 9 on last Friday, meaning a slight rise in the 7 day rolling average to 63.43. The earlier hospital figure brings that average down to 12.71
