Funny my gut instinct said they were exaggerating the figures, apparantly they did. My gut said this was like the flu, statistically it actually is. There would be far more flu deaths if the ones who are vunerable to it didn't get a flu shot every single year. My gut says the virus is going away , numbers are significantly dropping despite measures being eased.

Statistically they can't be compared as flu is not counted the same way.. Although I would wager that if there was daily news about the number of flu cases and deaths counted the same way covid is counted you'd be very shocked.

Look, go on and cycle around without a mask if it makes you feel like a rebel, I'm going with the public health advice that has served us pretty well in Ireland and kept the numbers down. I think you should call the world's community of biologists and epidemiologists and tell them their life's work has been for nothing and they practice pseudoscience

That's the thing. Complete lockdown does keep people safe , I have never once argued against that point. Telling people not to even leave their house kinda stops people from catching it.

So for every single piece of news that has been proven wrong , what, Doesn't that matter? It only matters when it's right but when it's wrong it's a case of Ahh well.

Because here's the thing. Your so strong on mocking my opinion is going on the basis that everything in the news is correct. You don't give any leeway on some of it being wrong. Otherwise you can't be so strong to shoot me down for merely questioning it.

Nobody has said that at all. Masks reduce transmission and if we're intent on restoring some level of normality, they're a good idea

No it just killed thousands every year until there was a vaccine and then the number just magically dropped. Infective flu vaccines have seen significant death rises , even as far back as .....2 years ago.
