So despite admitting that science does get things wrong, why are you so strong in peddling the news given to you?

Funny my gut instinct said they were exaggerating the figures, apparantly they did. My gut said this was like the flu, statistically it actually is. There would be far more flu deaths if the ones who are vunerable to it didn't get a flu shot every single year. My gut says the virus is going away , numbers are significantly dropping despite measures being eased.

I'm not trying to explain the intricate details of the virus , simply pointing out that what the news says is wrong. Like that 13 year old who had 50000 raised for his free funeral. Turns out he had heart failure, or the 21 year old girl who again had a heart attack.

The news has been misleading people for months yet everyone soaks it in without ever questioning it. Covid-19 is both sexist and racist, the first virus in history to affect people based on both skin colour and sex. Except that's not true either.

Why is it when I post something that isn't the party line it's not 'peer agreed' but when something negative is posted from the media it's the truth.

What if doctor kenshin as I keep getting called now is right? Not because I'm some sort of genius but because I simply don't take everything on face value?

If you are happy to believe EVERYTHING you read then go ahead. It simply means you don't think for yourself anymore.

That's a lot worse than a respiratory virus.

Statistically it’s nothing like the flu, though. So your entire premise is based on a falsehood.

Look, go on and cycle around without a mask if it makes you feel like a rebel, I'm going with the public health advice that has served us pretty well in Ireland and kept the numbers down. I think you should call the world's community of biologists and epidemiologists and tell them their life's work has been for nothing and they practice pseudoscience
 
All settings - 12 is the total figure for the day, officially 11 but there was one historical correction. This is 15 down on yesterday and one down on last Monday and keeps the 7 day rolling average steady at 68.86 with the earlier hospital figure bringing that average down to an even 17
