Sadly you can’t vouch for people’s stupidity, on multiple times occasions today in work, we had customers trying on clothes on the shop floor including physically stripping off to try on stuff despite being told not to. Two girls even broke through a barrier to actually go into our fitting rooms, despite the facts that a) they are getting refurbed and b) there were massive signs as well as said barrier indicating that they were NOT to be used

An utter rabble most of this country.

To be fair it was a minority, anyone else who’ve asked about fitting rooms or to try on stuff and been told no have taken it well, just the behaviour of that minority tipped a few of us close to the edge today. I had to calm one of my younger female coworkers down as she was on the brink of doing something she’d regret because of it

Went into my first pub today just for an outside pint after my walk. Had to sign a contact details form at the entrance, screens all around the bar, contactless only, plastic cups, hand sanitiser everywhere. Won’t be bothering again for a while it’s just too weird.

That minority are pretty large in all honesty. There's people on this thread who are 'very relaxed' about 66,000 being killed in this country in the last 4/5 months.

Even Whitty & Vallance said at the start it was wrong to wear them as they cause more problems and gives the virus a foothold on the face.
Yet the rest of the world were fining people for not wearing them.

Normalisation is what they want. Anything like masks puts a dampener on opening the economy and giving people the confidence to spend cash on needless tat.

This lot wouldn't have locked down at all but for a whistleblower telling everyone modelling suggested half a million dead if they didn't. They resented Ferguson with a passion and have waited until the earliest moment to reopen the economy fully again. They dont care.

My take still is "the science" backed by Cummings wanted herd immunity .
As Italy got totally overwhelmed by the virus they [Poor language removed] themselves.
Hence being totally unprepared for what was about to happen.
They should be charged for this and dealt with accordingly.

They'll say that the science guided them (and the scientists will say they were - like everyone else - preparing for a flu pandemic and couldn't change quickly to a deadly coronavirus). But then that was the same for all nations and the distinguishing feature on performance was how quickly the political decision was taken to lockdown to avoid mass casualties. Johnson and his gang know this, and national comparisons have them bang to rights - which is why they keep on insisiting that an enquiry is held later rather than sooner.
