The all settings figure finally got published hours after the daily briefing. Reported as 89, down 87 on yesterday and down 60 on last Thursday bringing the 7 day rolling average down to a new low of 109.29

The biggest take from today’s figures is that there was a historical correction on new cases with 30,000 removed, believed to be related to issues with either pillar two testing or double counts on cases
Is that a 30k reduction in numbers of tests, or numbers of positive tests mate?

That's one hell of an adjustment to have to make.

I'm sure @davek would like to know that Czech reported 132 cases yesterday, or 1 per 81,000 people (roughly), versus 576 cases in the UK, or 1 per 115,000 people. Can we get the street party bunting out for Tower Bridge now?

You cant be serious comparing the UK Banana Republic - an utter catastrophe where still we see almost 200 people reported dead on some days - with a country like the Czech Republic that hasn't experienced a daily fatality rate above 7 people for 2 months (mostly 1 or 2 each day).

You continue to look absurd.

So visitors from over 50 countries are free to come and go as they wish with no restrictions.

Are we declaring this pandemic over?

Certainly seems so.

More evidence of a government that runs on the fuel of BS.

Bad enough in normal times, a catastrophe during times like this.

In my opinion the best UK paper and very good reporting on Covid19.
