The real problem is that 20 and 30 year olds are currently refusing to behave like adults. Quite frankly they are demonstrating absolutely zero levels of responsibility.....meanwhile the rest of us continue to spoil and make excuses for them....
Think that age group have should remarkable levels of responsibility, particialrly in the early stages of the virus, as they have the least amount of health risk yet shouldered a disproportionate amount of the financial hit from the closures.

The lectures on personal responsibility seem a tad ironic since older generations don’t seem to have shown much concern for younger ones on a whole range of issues from finances to the climate.

Fatality rates of those being admitted to hospital has dropped from 6% to 1.5% since April

The main possible reasons stated are :-

  • Better treatment
  • The most vulnerable have, to be blunt, already succumbed to the virus, or, probably more likely, have cut their interactions right down so are less likely to get infected
  • Higher vitamin D levels ( good weather effect ) and
  • Because there's more slack in the system, the criteria for admission isn't as high as it was a couple of months ago, so those people admitted are in a better condition to start with, so are more likely ti survive
Chances are, it's a bit of all the above.

People on the whole behaved well for the early part of the lockdown but the wheels came off when Cummings showed complete disregard for the rules showing they could be manipulated to his own agenda.

The majority of people in this country of all ages have behaved themselves, it’s just that the idiots are more visible and the media lap it up - which doesn’t help.

Definitely true, but I'm seeing about 3 or 4 stories a day now about something which is shocking me in various parts of the UK and its getting worse. These are only the stories being reported on too, there's no doubt a load more stories.

Yeah, coming to think of it, there does seem to be a correlation with that incident. It was the perfect indicator that boris isn't the man for this. We needed a leader right then to take action and remove Cummings from his post. It set all the wrong examples and the public have very selfishly decided to use it as an excuse.

They’ve got little else to report on, so they really go to town on stuff like the crowds on the beaches.

They’re also selective in the way they report it too. Hardly a peep out of them about the crowds last night for the RS winning the title and the illegal parties all over the place too.

I heard him say that, talk about mixed messages does he still not understand that it is not just the old that can catch this decrease?

Pathetic message from him, utterly pathetic. Its like he's still stuck in the first week when we were at "its only a mild cold, only the old will die". But it sends out totally the wrong message.
