I saw something about this being planned for Bold Street.

The increased pedestrianisation of cities is definitely a good thing.

On a practical note though, I wonder why open air gyms are going to be okay but not indoor ones? In all the time I've been in gyms, keeping a distance is never an issue, but the re-use of equipment obviously would be, but that will be the same issue in open-air gyms I'd have thought. Heck, if concerns about contamination on surfaces was an issue, then mandatory cleaning of trolleys would be in place at supermarkets rather than merely voluntary.

I expect it's down to force of breath and exhalation in a closed environment. But I'm guessing.

Castle St has very wide pavement areas alongside the road, so that makes sense too.
