@bullybeef Brize was closed for an entire day this week because of an incoming flight from China, so that tells you what our authorities really think of this virus.

There's an article in today's ST where the professor who discovered Ebola and the original Aids epidemic in Africa believes a major-outbreak in the UK is possible.

Well that’s just brilliant Phil.

If it does hit then I hope the authorities take the necessary precautions; closing schools, delaying non important hospital appointments, quarantining those effected, closing borders, providing medical equipment and supplies to where its needed.

I’ve started building my bunker in the garden and I’ve just sent Mrs B to Waitrose to stock up on all non essentials.

Hopefully Bully can ride out the storm and avoid the Corona virus.

If not it’s been nice getting to know you all.

COYB.

Just as we think we're getting somewhere Moshiri, Usmanov and Ancelotti all get taken away from us due to the deadly virus. Not to worry though as Bill pulled through...

(Everton that)

I don’t bet, but I still have a sneaky suspicion that the Chinese Authorities produced and accidentally released this virus...only time will tell, but this crap about bats and snakes in Wuhan alone, where the Chinese just happen to have the Wuhan Institute of Virology doesn’t smell right...but we will never find out because anyone involved will die.......

Deffo the result of some wierd sexual liason involving a couple of depraved Chinese virologists, three civet cats, the odd horny fruit bat and an extemely liberal pangolin.

We’re all doomed.

Does anyone survive this virus?
You only hear about the deaths.
Yes. Experts place the mortality rate at its highest between 1% and 2% although there will be many who've contracted the disease and not been diagnosed.

In reality, it's probably less than 1%, so unless it mutates in the next couple of weeks it will not be the mass killer people predict. Obviously, lots of people will die...

... that's just based on the number of people who contract it. The real issue is the strain it will have on health care, the economy and everything else.
