With that doctor who first started alerting people about the virus dying at the age of 34, after being ill for nearly a month shows how seriously this should be taken. This is not a common bout of the flu that fit people will just shrug off. I bet if you get it you will feel like crap for a good while afterwards with a greater chance of picking up more things as your immune system would be smashed.

Everyone has a responsibility to treat it with respect to hopefully ensure that they don't have to see themselves or their loved ones having to try and fight it off.
Anybody else other than me reckons the poor doctor was ushered onto the afterlife by the authorities.

Over 10K have died in the US this flu season so I'm going to take exception to this characterization.

Possible I suppose. But I'd like to look on the brighter side where there is sufficient doubt.
Well I've just watched the BBC evening news where we're told when he first aired his suspicions he was hauled in by the police and FORCED to sign a confession to say he was scaremongering. At least that was my impression on what was reported. I'm sorry to say that my feelings towards the Chinese authorities aren't positive, especially when the same bulletin showed people getting dragged kicking and screaming out of their properties.

Oh I agree and yes that does seem what happened. Is it enough to off him seeing it was going to get out anyhow, I don't know.

Unless the Chinese developed this virus and were hoping it would spread to other countries thus killing off their enemies before anyone knew about it?? I say as I don my tin hat and barricade myself in the house Mel Gibson style.

No chance I'm safe got myself a secret weapon of my own whisky with fresh squeezed lemon and honey, viruses stand down.

And yet you have been weirdly really keen to spread panic on the corona virus

The corona virus is something else and as far as I can tell wasn't being given the serious consideration that it deserved when it first appeared. I'm pleased to see however that efforts are being made to curb its impact on the rest of the world, even if some Chinese nationals are selfishly getting around restrictions.
