i wonder if this outbreak has leaked from the Bio lab in Wuhan , the yanks were warning a couple of years a go it wasn't safe in such a built up area after a leak of sars from a lab in beijing ?
seems a bit more plausible than bats in soup ect.
I reckon the Chinese's terrible animal rights and welfare regulation is a bit more plausible as a source than a government super weapon conspiracy in all honesty

i didn't say it was a super weapon, just the chinese have a recent history of leaks from bio laboratories, and the yanks had warned about this particular one in 2017,
bit of a leap, to a super weapon experiment gone wrong .

Along with the appalling conditions and treatment of the animals, add to that the apparent complete lack of hygiene in the slaughter of the animals, transportation, preparation and storage of the meat.

If you look at it logically, it`s a miracle nothing on this scale has happened before.

Its a massive cultural issue, you will not in a million years convince the chinese en masse of the moral aspect of animal welfare as they just aren't raised with it in my experience. However this is a big chance to convince them of the practical aspect

It`s natures way of giving them a real warning, whether they take it or not is another matter, as there`s so much stuff welded into their culture.

a plague sent from god to punish us , sounds even better, you just know some loon in deepest USA or the middle east is shouting that that right now on some tv or radio station.
There is a view that nature has a history of rebalancing things.

There is no doubt the uncontrolled growth of human global population is becoming dangerous to all living things on this planet. Maybe these new diseases are natures way of controlling things. Perhaps global climate change is too.

Not saying I prescribe to these views fanatically, but I like to keep an open mind on such things.

Gaia theory or the Gaia principle , interesting stuff that mate.

I don't know the name Gaia but I'll google it and have a good read. It's probably stuff I've already read and just haven't picked up on the name before.

But I look at what's happening in Australia at the moment and it does make me wonder. These bushfires there are just doing untold damage to the environment, and it's a double whammy. Not only are they throwing copious amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere, they are also killing the actual one thing that is there to control CO2 levels, our forests. Forest/bush fires all over the world are becoming more and more common place and devastating in their severity.

We should be looking closer to home
