A mate of mine does GrubHub and/or Uber Eats here in the States, he said that he usually gets about 50-75 a night in tips. He said over the last week he's averaged 600 and he can barely breath without getting an order to drop off.
I spoke to someone on one of the islands earlier.
Once bars and restaurants are closed, they might as well block flights, because very few tourists will travel knowing they have to self cater in a country which is in the early stages of a lockdown.

Right, but limiting only works if just about EVERYONE is limited. I went to the market yesterday, pub yesterday afternoon and spoke with some people, market again today with the wife. The amount of touches is insane there. If they just did the blanket "you cannot leave the house" then I would have a much better feeling about this. I was going to go over a mates house but he's 73 and I have a bit of a raspy cough. Most likely nothing but Im not worried about me, Im worried about him. That is why limiting the number of contacts everyone has, even when they are apparently healthy, is effective.

Also here in the states...
That's the main problem people can have the virus and show little to no symptoms. All the governments are just showing how inept they are in dealing with any health crisis.None of them have exhibited much joined up thinking at all. Knee jerk is the order of the day. Are you at more risk in a sports stadium or the supermarket queue...they don't know.I just find this a bit odd honestly. There is no "stopping" it. It's going to spread. It's diagnosing and treating that is the issue. You don't even know it's in you before you could, conceivably, pass it on.
But even some reduction can compound to a big effect if done early enoughRight, but limiting only works if just about EVERYONE is limited. See, this is generally correct... but if they allowed it to hit 70% of the population that are at the least risk of getting the disease and isolated/protected the elderly/infirm etc. then it could work. It's a bit irresponsible to use broad stats to just say "this policy will kill more than a million."
That said, there's no evidence that the government are planning on doing anything to protect the elderly/infirm of course...
I’m not sure they’ll have any way to make sure it hits the “right” people though.
.....been in the pub for 5 full afternoons (watching Cheltenham with my pals), really funny the blokes queueing to wash their hands after being the loo. I can promise you, it’s rare to see one person at the wash basin.

They'd have to be isolating now really. But they aren't so it's difficult to come to any conclusion other than they actively want to kill off the elderly with pre existing conditions.
