England hospital death toll
NHS England announced on Monday a further 59 people had died in hospital after testing positive for coronavirus, bringing the total number in England to 27,490.
The patients were aged between 34 and 100, with three aged between 54 and 68 known to have had underlying health conditions.

The 55 is 68 down on last Monday and 22 down on yesterday. Both this and the hospital figures have caused a further drop in the 7 day rolling averages. In all settings this is now down to 221.71 with hospitals dropping to 126.71. There’s little to none backdating but the weekend lag figures are expected to be back into triple digits tomorrow but under 200

I'm the same, i just cant see them as true. not sure why though, maybe because I was so certain of a second spike. glad to be wrong but not sure whose figures to go by.
Its good news, but we have had low figures before then the next day they jump up. as I say hopefully we get a few days of double digits rather than triple.

It's getting slightly less grim overall though.
Every time they drop I get hope that we have had a mutation. All my hope is invested in a natural process rather than a vaccine.

It's a horrible thing to have to say, but, though the deaths are the figure that most focus on, they're showing the situation a few weeks ago. It's hospital admissions and pillar one positive tests that show a truer picture of the here and now, and the latter is slowly falling.
