It is a snapshot, read the caption.

I read the caption but that hardly tells me the answer..

Yes about the R value being above or below 1 and the connection to the channel 4 apology is????

Reminder of my post...

'The chief executive of Channel 4 has however had to make an embarrassing apology regarding it's use of social media during the recent general election campaign, which she described as dreadful and inexcusable, the error went viral as it fed into Johnson's opponents portrayal of him as racist, often entirely based on, to use her own words, this 'dreadful and inexcusable' error from channel four.

It's reported.....

The head of Channel 4 has admitted a “dreadful” and “inexcusable” error by the broadcaster’s news division during the election campaign made relations with the Government “very heated”.

Alex Mahon, chief executive, said in a newspaper interview that she has overhauled guidelines for use of social media after Channel 4 News posted a viral video that wrongly subtitled Boris Johnson as saying “people of colour” and sparked false allegations of racism. He in fact said “people of talent” and the broadcaster apologised.

Ms Mahon said: “There was a period during the election campaign where things got very heated. We had a dreadful error in what you might call 'people-of-colour-gate’. That was inexcusable.

"The use of social platforms probably evolved past our guidelines.”

You left your own bit out:

The BBC and channel 4 are apparently the most trusted broadcasters in their coverage of this pandemic.

I thought I'd help you out whilst you were providing reasons to be wary of taking the information provided by these broadcasters at face value, viz., the image I posted.

I wasn't doing anything of the sort, youve misunderstood my purely factual post entirely.

Channel 4 today had good news that they and the BBC were apparently the most trusted broadcasters on the Covid-19 pandemic and also today issued an apology for which THEY (the chief executive of channel 4) described as a 'dreadful and inexcusable error' which totally misleading report largely painted Johnson as a racist in the eyes of many at a particularly crucial time for him.

This is merely factual in that they had good news and perhaps thought it a good time to issue the apology

In no way was I denigrating or disputing the quality of their news reports on Covid.

This is the chief executive of channel 4 not me.

Perhaps he’s not a epidemiologist, perhaps, and I know this sounds silly, but perhaps he was given guidance by Sage, PHE and the NHS together with the CSA and CMO, some of whom do know a little bit about epidemiology and maths.....

Precisely my point. The experts know and say we shut down too late - so he must know so as well - ergo he is lying.
