Just watching the news it seems this social distancing lark that the majority of people have been observing for near on three months has been thrown right out the window in lots of places around the world today, we can be quite silly us humans.

It went out the window as soon as it was deemed ok for Cummings to do whatever he wants.

Mate posts like this whilst doing nothing but moan for weeks at the Tories for not locking down earlier to save lives is exactly why the left has become a joke in recent years.

So if thousands die as a result of these protests its all sound as they were protesting against "the man?"

Cant be having that mate.

Well some would say that if they don't protest now then the chance has gone.

With the world being how it is right now these protests are pretty much the most important thing going on in the news and therefore gives the maximum exposure.

Not saying I agree with that but there is some of the reasoning.

If the government had locked down properly when they should've, these protests would be much less controversial and dangerous.

I see plenty of outrage here about the crowds at the protests. I’m sure I can safely assume that all of the same posters expressed the same level of outrage on here when the scenes of crowded beaches came out a week ago.......

Even handedness has to be applied here though. We cant be deploring a government for finding a pretext to end the lockdown and place the nation in danger again, and also hand a free pass out to thousands of people flouting social distancing. Obvioulsy there's no moral equivalency being applied by me - this government are evil beyond all doubt, the protesters have their hearts in the right place. But this virus couldn't give a flying one about motives: it'll take up space whoever invites it in.

We cant square this circle. It's a pandemic. The only way of dealing with it is for everyday people - activists and non-activists alike - to take a lead and behave in a way that has the most vulnerable in mind at all time. That is the truly progressive course of action, not congregating in tens of thousands and spreading a virus that could get through to even more vulnerable people and kill or seriously affect their health.

Classic deflection.
Its very evident from those aghast at this protesting they are simply not or refusing to listen to their concerns.

It's just not correct that people are out just protesting about the death of George Floyd.

If anyone actually believes this very basic premise being peddled out, then the UK is socially in a very dangerous place now.

This is the wrong time for protesting. I wholeheartedly support the right to peaceful protest. Just not right now.

I don’t think anybody is arguing the justification for black people protesting in general. I’m certainly not.

This is 100% bang on.
