In all seriousness, when I read about "herd immunity" last night. I thought it was a joke, conspiracy theory from some Alex Jones website. The audacity and sheer loss of human suffering surely couldn't come from a human being. A computer simulation perhaps, some AI that balances cost over life.

It's surreal. Threatening and downright callous.

I know nothing about it myself, so I'm willing to put my trust in experts and I'm certainly not going to criticise them.

I think we could all do with being a bit less 'Dave from Wigan' or 'Piers from Good Morning Britain' and actually trust people who know what they're talking about.

Cyprus has closed it's borders.

Greece is officially closing bars and restaurants ( though doubtless, away from main areas those instructions will be ignored ). Museums and archaeological sites will be closing too.

You won't be going mate.

....suspect not, I’m quite relaxed about it. Mrs Eggs and I are treating the whole family to a couple of weeks, but it’s a package holiday and if it’s pulled I’m sure we can re-arrange. Actually off to Cyprus in July as well, I expect that will happen.

I doubt Greece will put a block on flights as it will cripple their economy, but the U.K. might broaden restrictions in the next week or so. If the FCO advise not to go, we obviously won’t go.

Should a few thousand fans from Madrid been allowed in Anfield this week ?

That's where I'm struggling to trust these experts to be honest.

Has the Government actually used the term "herd"?

IIRC, they have talked about flattening the peak, or in Boris speak, "stamp on a sombrero" Which I can kinda buy into. Its here, it aint going away, there is no cure, so avoid, as best you can, a massive spike in cases.

Mind you, that was yesterday.

Doing nothing doesn't flatten a peak though; I don't see any logic in that whatsoever.

Well, given that I came into the UK from a heavily affected area last week without any checks being done, I'm not in the slightest bit surprised but I suppose that is more for the UK Border Agency.

Find an example that worked without innoculations.

The Black Death, as mentioned above.

After 1347 everyone who caught it and survived had immunity, so the disease went away until a generation later, when enough people without immunity were around and so the people who watched their parents, friends, siblings and kids die got to watch their kids and grandkids die.
