Any sight of your line of work opening up any time soon?

Those who are largely freelance probably have it harder than those who take in agency work mate. Mate of mine largely gets booked up for weddings/christenings and she's missed out on alot of work over Spring especially cancelled weddings.

Im hoping to get back properly from next month as there hasnt been much available - alot of my agency work tends to be based in Manchester these days.

By us you have to book a time slot to visit the tip. They’ve got two guys outside to check. They are both sitting in chairs everyday because no one cba booking a slot. Complete overreaction and waste of time......

Its weird. I had a look at our council web site, and they are only letting cars in from one direction, then they have to leave in the opposite direction. I struggle to understand why a bloke in a car with some crap is more of a risk if he turns left or right into a tip.

I guess someone had a meeting somewhere. Probably by Zoom, then washed their hands.

Good luck mate. The 2nd self employed cash is August, so hopefully that eases any pain.

Why is Ikea allowed to open but not Chester Zoo?

Cannot think of a single thing that the government have gotten right about the lockdown - and the eventual easing of measures

Furlough and the self employed help has been sound imo. Also the business grants and stuff were well received as @peteblue confirmed, in what seems years ago now.

The initial simple, Stay at Home message did the trick it seemed, but the whole Cummings stuff changed the atmosphere from where I stand.

Not great, but until all this washes through, I think its foolish to compare and contrast.

Prince Charles bottom left ?
Degsy Mountfield second one in on the top row ?
Souness second from right middle row next to Eddie Yates from Corrie ?
Not sure which one you are @marnie ?
I'm top left (it's ffin uncanny lol) @COYBL25 is bottom left. @RAFUH is in pig tails in the middle row (looking like butter wouldn't melt) @tommye is in disguise wearing a Fez top row far right.Below him is @Joey66 and below Joey is Carlos the Copper.

The minutes of the first 34 SAGE meetings are there in black and white for everybody to see for themselves mate. If you have any interest in having your accusations backed up by truth's, I suggest you take the trouble of reading them.
Compared to other experts in other parts of the world it's going to be a reflective comedy horror novel akin to League of Gentleman.

They employ scientists because they are supposedly the experts in their field. If they didn't follow their advice you would have called them everything under the sun. If they follow advice that hindsight suggests may have been wrong, you say they should have questioned it.

I expect the government to follow the professional advice and I expect that advice to be good advice based on the information available at the time. If that advice subsequently turned out to be wrong, then a proper inquest will determine whether the advice given at the time should have been different, not some anonymous poster on a football fans forum.

And thats another thing Johnson supposed talent, is well talent spotting the best and brightest and surrounding himself with them. 20,000 deaths was going to be a good result, as of today we have 40,261, if thats a measure of success of Government and SAGE I'd rather not read much ofmit mate or for that matter have a very awful Government.

Might have something to do with the fact that the disease is prevalent in older men and most older men are bald. Or am I applying too much common sense.

Just had a look at their paper.

Roughly 75% of men in their sample were bald compared to 50% of men they'd expect to be bald, so it looks more like cause and effect rather than just correlation.

Given the choice of castration, hormone treatment or COVID , I think, in the same way that I accept the increased risk of prostate cancer due to being bald, I'll take my chances with COVID and hope that wearing a hat fools the virus.

Cheers mate, the money in this game is weddings but I personally hate doing them - often tend to be mithered with stressed out brides who want everything perfect.

My mate on the otherhand gets alot of work through recommendations from one particular wedding venue in cheshire so she'll be sound once they all pick up again whereas I tend to take different booking types so may get more work quicker but probably bring in less money so swings and roundabouts really.

Dont you have roadside collections in Cornwall? Tis Cornwall you live in isnt it?
The recycled stuff isn't very good compared to Liverpool. They give you bags for different things like glass plastic etc. When empty they just get picked up by the wind and blown all over the place. You need to apply to the council for the bags. With all the storms over the winter we decided it was easier to recycle ourselves as the tip is only 5 miles away.

I was just having a moan. I'd still rather recycle myself. Bottles and plastics I can sort out at local supermarket. The cardboard can wait until things get back to normal

The issues with your business are not exactly front page news unfortunately. I guess next wedding season will be nuts though, so suck it up and shoot to thrill.
