The vast majority of European countries fall into the “low-risk” destinations category, meaning Czechs can travel there without restrictions, unless they are imposed by the other side. Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands and Ireland have been identified as “medium-risk”, while the UK and Sweden are listed “high-risk” meaning that people who travel there will need to produce a negative COVID 19 test or undergo a 14-day quarantine upon their return.

Doh :(

The lad over the road from me is a footy journo for a broadsheet ( @Connor ) knows who he is.

He`s a top lad and in the past he was one of the lead sports writers for a very unsavoury paper, for which he took a lot of abuse.

He once told me that nearly all journalists don`t have the luxury of picking and choosing employers and quite simply have to go where the work is.

I understand that completely. My rant was not raised in specific to sports reporters or any parts that aren't the venom spitting, destructive nature that paper tries to feed (Which I guess most of these would be freelancers anyhow and not DM staff). But I would say if you sell your soul to the devil and write things that you don't agree with then they are in the wrong job and everyone has a choice at the end of the day to do something different, difficult though it may be.

Probably not tbh. If they're anything like Czech, you'd need to be in quarantine for a fortnight (assuming you're based here in the UK). It could all change by September of course, but it's pretty risky to be planning to travel anywhere this year imo.

Meh, so this is only for people coming into the UK then?

I’ve seen countries like Spain saying they’re welcoming people from the uk from July onwards though.

My hair clippers have arrived, but am slightly alarmed at the instructions. I guess the translation from Chinese is to blame, but they warn me, amongst other things, to slow down as I approach my tigers mouth.

Once had a lap dance from someone with a rather gaping tigers mouth

Money will dictate things to an extent I suspect. Britain is probably the biggest market for Spanish tourism, so they'll suck it up. For Czechs, the first country they agreed a deal with was Croatia, both because they have a similar disease profile, but also because it's the prime location for Czech holidaymakers. I've no idea how big the Brit tourist is for Hungarian tourism, but that may guide things. I'd say it's also pretty uncertain what the situation will be like when you're there. Museums and galleries etc. are beginning to open, but in much of eastern Europe, bars and restaurants are still quite disrupted, and it's hard to imagine spas operating normally for a bit.

And that's assuming there isn't a second wave, which seems highly optimistic to me.
