My neighbours have been out since 8am.
Still not back.
We've had a bbq in total peace and quiet. Bliss.
If they have jumped off the rock on a nice day out at the beach, as they say in Newcastle #Cans.

I’d report them anyway just for a laugh.....

Bizzies were round there's 1.30am sat morning mate.
They will think that was me.. but it actually wasn't, so I'm hoping someone else has had enough too.
Could do with kids back at school so i can have a proper snide chat with my good neighbours as we walk to class.

Going outside in an environment with a reproduction number at or near 1 (and probably over 1 in many localities in the north west of England) is not sound advice.

It's way too general an approach.

Look at the enormous amount of tools now not observing social distancing...and certainly not covering their stupid 'kin faces. It's too dangerous for those being shielded to go out. Stay indoors.

What an utter disgrace of a government this is.

Was talking to an old colleague in the UK today and they raised a very good point, he said R numbers are being presented as national averages, there are however regional variants, he mentioned there were some areas in the UK were the R is above 1 and then some, however the 1 nationally is still being used to justify opening up. Obviously that puts some people more at risk then others.

It was something I honestly hadn’t considered before, very good point and something to keep in mind when it comes to reproduction numbers and how governments use and present them.

I can't pretend this is my own line, but someone on a different forum came up with this and it really struck me.

"People neglecting social distancing and cramming together in thousands to shout 'I cant breathe' might end up being sadly prophetic in a macabre way."

Did think that when I saw them all in Trafalgar Square.

And especially sad is that it is the people who are trying the most outreach - those that don’t wear masks so as to be less intimidating, that are offering comforting hugs etc that are most likely to be exposed.

Again, not my own line, but when describing the new lockdown rules..

"They are as clear as a thirsty smackheads piss "
