What a shambles when chasing Hancock's 100 000 a day 'tests'. No wonder the total number of people tested is no longer available.

Officials struggle to match hundreds of thousands of results with NHS records

"Jonathan Ashworth, Labour’s shadow health secretary, said: “The government’s testing and tracing regime is looking increasingly shambolic. Ministers insisted on ploughing on with handing this contract to Deloitte which has meant GPs and local directors of public health kept in the dark over test results while patient records don’t get updated.

“This is no way to run an effective public health response to this deadly, highly infectious virus.”

Gobsmacked at how they think they can restart the league and so soon. This whole pandemic has shown how pathetic tge world has become though that people can't just stay in the garden and do the right thing, a laughing stock, especially britain.

Half the country will never exercise again when we come out of lock down, just a bunch of kids who don't like being told what to do.

I haven't read about the footy plans, but are clubs havong to test every single player every single day now? And even if they do that and do it before every game, the results aren't instant nor correct, so how does this do anything but a) spread the virus and b) spit in the face of all front line NHS staff and key workers who aren't allowed to get tested?

I do wish people would stop saying “lockdown is over” or people “don’t care”.

It’s simply not true.

Movement data for Manchester and London up until yesterday. Still massively down on usual.

The vast majority of people are using common sense and respecting guidelines, its a disservice to them to imply people generally aren't doing so.
