I just got sent a load of photos of shops in the UK, utter madness.

Our government are failing to inform people or deal with potential supply issues.

The Government don’t have control over supermarket supply chains, there is no magic pasta tree.

Once people have stocked up this will subside. Unless we all start eating spag Bol constantly and visiting the toilet hourly as a result.

TBF the uselessness of that statistic now (at least under the current circumstances) is something that most here now agree on
Sack the advisor, Trumpian style who thought it was good idea to wheel that one out.

Johnson keyboard minions at the ready, hasten the sacking.

Johnson the PM who surrounds himself in talent, it's what he does, apparently!

"stay in the womb damn you, I am self-isolating!"
She was at the far advanced stage of the virus that's a lot of NHS staff of work for seven days ......surly all the news she should have seemed help before the baby was due a week earlier for orotective clyhing to be worn to deliver her baby ?

Corporal 'Hancock' Jones at the ready.

Maybe

Although I dont think people should need to be told that raiding the shelves of things that are essential to the vulnerable, is utterly selfish behaviour.

... and yet our economy is pretty much based on that concept. As an example, the past two months Londoners have had NO SURGE PRICING* shouted at us from every Youtube video, tube poster, radio and other media source from a new firm that promises their drivers won't try to rape us.

* until Easter Sunday

This is worth keeping in mind and I believe has shaped the advice given by the CMO and CSO

I think you are right If we go into lockdown unfortunately. You could use the time to set up your own specialist recruitment company for the inevitable boom that will follow though.....

I doubt there will be much value to it for a long time, only the big agencies are going to weather this. Going to learn SQL or Java I think, see if I can upskill on a budget. I'm finishing my degree in a couple of months too, so just want to make sure I'm as employable as I can be when this is all over

Perhaps, though (as with the Black Death FWIW) that distribution over time could easily have been caused / made significantly worse than it might have been by the unique circumstances of the period. It might not be a reliable guide as to what we should do now.
