We all hope that it isn’t the case but the “Cummings exception” to self-isolation when infected is wide enough to drive a double decker bus through.

Just another thought that's occured to me, as my mind wanders into next week, the next phase of the Government response, as they look to reduce the restrictions of lockdown and restart the economy, is their introduction of contact tracing, which, if it is to be successful, relies on public adherence to isolation guidelines to be almost total.

How can you now expect anyone to follow it?

The key thing now is that the science is distanced from the Government. It's critically important that the scientific messages about distancing and hygiene are upheld. If they stay aligned with this shambles of a Government, it will be diminished in the eyes of the public by association.

Perhaps Cummings could at least be a positve example by detailing his movements when infected and using contact tracing to identify how many he may have exposed?

Dont agree with the neighbours shouting abuse. The guy got alot of enemies during to Brexit campaign. He should have resigned as he broke the rules and Boris just made his job harder sticking up for him.

People have not been able to see their loved one dying or funerals been held with small numbers.
