Well if it's on my hands inside a glove then it doesn't end up anywhere in the store. Common sense really hence lots of different professions are wearing gloves.

No, it’s not common sense.

Gloves are to be worn in healthcare settings when you are treating multiple patients. The advice is not and never has been to wear gloves to do your shopping.

Missing the point.

The indications are that Covid doesn’t even spread easily through surface contact.

Driving to the shop to do your shopping places others at more risk than touching a checkout screen with your bare hands.

I mean you can't do one without the other so not really seeing the point you're trying to make here.

That's nothing.

At one of the resorts on the south coast here the other day, most of the public toilets were closed, so there was just one disabled toilet available, and there was a 40 minute queue.

Moral of the story. If you're going anywhere in the UK take an elastic band and a cork with you.
At least that's sort of a necessity! You need to use the toilets at some point. You don't need McDonald's haha unless you lot have some magical McDonald's it's not even good.

Yeh I do keep them on. I'm just surprised in the middle of a pandemic with hundreds dying every day you can even be accused off being too cautious.

That is not a logical conclusion.

As I alluded to previously, if you drive to the shop you are risking more lives than you are risking by putting a bare hand out in the shop.

If your argument is you cannot be too cautious then you shouldn’t be going to the shop at all. You should be in total isolation having your food delivered.

Most people will follow the science and the science currently suggests that surface contact spread is highly unlikely and that wearing gloves when shopping does nothing to prevent spread more so than using soap before you leave the house and soap when you get home.

This is just 'edgy' commentary.

Being cautious and going for a belt and braces approach to all you do is the only logical thing anyone can and should do.

It's this type of idiocy that causes a massive secong wave.

Suppose you'd call that doctor an idiot too.

Or your favourite, the Irish:

I could go on.

You really are a clueless jeb end.

But it may not be over yet. Nothing is ‘confirmed’ until it is finished and the data reviewed. Sweden has gone for ‘herd immunity’ and has saved its economy in the process. If a second wave hits Europe, as it may well do, then more deaths follow, a further shutdown wreaks the economies even further, and deaths decline again slowly. A second wave in Sweden may have absolutely no effect as they may have achieved immunity. But no one knows, and until all the phases have been gone through and data collected no one knows what was really the best way to deal with Coronavirus......
If you don't know what's the best, then preservation of life should be the very first thing you go for. Aiming for herd immunity in a virus like this was always going to an excuse for valuing money over lives. We catch corona virus 'colds' all the time, with minimal evidence of generating a long lasting immunity.
Plus-best way to manage it? Look at Korea, Singapore, New Zealand ect. Lockdown early, track and trace. The same mantra I said right at the start of this.

Madness.

Social media is awash with photographs of busy beaches yesterday. Most will probably have socially distanced, but I'd get guess that a fair few won't have.

Each to their own, however I know that I would choose to take that risk unless I was obliged to.

Re McDonalds, no one is actually doing anything wrong there.

the tweets bashing it are just elitist af.
