Johnson's a [Poor language removed], but people need to take better care of themselves. The missus showed me a few photos of enormous queues for the drive through KFC as soon as it opened near us. It's a common refrain from her, that she would much rather people took better care of themselves and stopped abusing the NHS than get clapped on Thursday evenings. That people do that whilst being well aware that obesity and the numerous health conditions associated with it are huge risk factors for the virus taking a heavy toll just rubs the noses of doctors and nurses in it. Johnson's a complete knobhead, but he's not responsible for the decisions we make as individuals.

Oh I agree but as I've said before usually you can ignore the percentage that don't do the right thing. However in this case you can't as it has a direct effect on the rest of the population.

The government therefore unfortunately needs to take this into consideration when making policy.

Why should liverpool be any different to other parts of the country though. Very strange unless it had something to do with liverpool's champions league game with Athletico, one of the most stupid sporting events ever held.
Coz no ones sticking to it?
Wer not english we r scouse!!

20% of those working in care professions are EU migrants Joe, and around half of the EU migrants currently classed as key workers would not qualify to work here under Patel's new immigration criteria.
What's that got to do with my post of the social care being taken back Bruce?
I am on the side of how can care homes charge a family or individual so much, and struggle with low pay and no PPE at first ....If Starmer settles in quickly lets see what he can do hey.....the will be no doubts a massive recession imo....

Just saying that regardless of who owns/runs the care homes, there is quite possibly going to be a huge skills shortage if migration rules continue as they are cited to.

It's expensive to care for people. Moaning about care homes costs seems misdirected.

Or will there be massive unemployment JSA ques of all creeds Bruce?
A hell of a lot of firms will go under furloughing or not - my son is pondering his future .....

"The spokesman said No 10 would investigate why some care home staff near Guildford are having to self-isolate in tents because lack of testing means they do not feel it is safe for them to go home. The spokesman said tests were meant to be available for care home staff who needed them. If there were problems, they should be resolved, he said. He said he would look into the Guildford case". Unbelievable. Tests are only available if you have symptoms. People will need to say they have symptoms to get a test otherwise you can't get one. Testing for NHS staff and those in the care sector should have been tested as a matter of course. Rather than working out gimmicks to claim that Hancock reached his 100 000 'tests' a day.

Really as a socialist I would rather see it as a gesture paid by the taxpayer as it used to be other than filling pockets of shareholders..... plus linked with the NHS another problem solved.... surely a system can be sorted out on a national level - the care homes were stated to be safe by Hancock from Covid 19 in March ..... its horrendous ....imo
