Be gutted if I took the antibody test to be told I’ve already had it and it’s back to work.
No, I’m relaying what the locals are saying. It’s not like the tories would bend the truth though is it ?

There’s a difference between bending the truth and outright lying Kurt. Both the MP for Ynys Mon and Berry have said he’s been on the island for two months and it’s written on public record.
Unless the locals have been watching his property I’m not sure how they can prove otherwise?
Like I say we’ll see because if he has lied and been travelling to and from he’d have been breaking the law and it will come out.
Just very uneasy at the way people are willing to abuse somebody on Twitter based on hearsay. I hope it doesn’t come out that his wife is seriously ill for their sake.

If we start testing for antibodies can it be done across the UK over the course of a few months and if the results come back that only a minority have had covid, what do we do then? Carry on with essing restrictions gradually? I'm just not sure how the test changes anything.

The antibody test helps a lot because if you know which people have been infected you know they are safe to work and help vulnerable people and they can donate plasma to help the seriously ill.
If you know how many people have been infected you also know the exact mortality rate. Atm scientists are guessing from studies of smaller groups of people. Knowing the mortality rate means you can much more accurately predict the need for ICU beds and hospital treatment. It also helps the government with lifting restrictions. It will also let them know the amount of people that are asymptomatic.
So started appallingly and have been largely poor since?
Btw has anyone seem any results from the plasma trials?
There were many set off around the same time as the Remdesivir and hydrochloroquine trials and whilst we seen to have data back on those two (for first seems to cut down length of illness and the latter looks a dud) I haven’t seem anything on the plasma bar a small promising study from China.

10,000 unaccounted for deaths in care homes compared to the year on year avarage..
So in April, with all deaths given a reason for death including 8,000 from Covid-19, there were 10,000 that didn't have a reason, wonder what's caused those 10,000 deaths then.
Looking like there could have been 18,000 deaths down to Covid, and the Govt are only claiming 8,000
There are no words to describe what this lot are trying to get away with and sweep under the carpet.

I'm not a fan of the government or trying to make excuses but it may be that a lot more deaths have come about from stress of the situation and loneliness being away from their families and friends.
So while it is related to the virus, the extra deaths might not have been caused by the virus itself.
