The book was written in 1949.....
What a nightmare

It was a joke.

Satire if you will.
I have never had an app. But watching this, it seemed that its as much reliant on someone who THINKS they have symptoms pushing a button, then if someone goes near them, they are then messaged that they MIGHT have had contact, and a test is automatically sent to both.

Rather than waiting till everyone is tested, cos then there would no need for an app anyrate.

I think.
That's even worse if so. You either get an app full or hypochondriacs or noone using it at all.

I mean if you were to use that app, and someone flagged up that they were near , how would you honestly react? Or the average person?

Or if it was retrospective then that would scare people. Imagine sitting at home and getting an alert saying you were near someone that day?

so do you want it or not then.....

Well 80% of the Isle of Wight have said they will download it.

I dont think it goes off if you are near someone infected like a car alarm. I think you get an alert and/or a letter from the NHS, with, or followed by, a test.

At one of the briefings recently, I think they said test, track and trace required around 60% participation to be effective. Considering the Isle of Wight has 25% population over 70, compared to 15% across the uk, it will be interesting to see what the overall take up is.

So retrospective then.

It would still scare people. I'm referring to those who panic bought products , who probably have had serious mental health issues being isolated away.

They randomly get a letter after they venture out the house one day for food and it would genuinely scare them.

Isle of Wight radio said 80% have said they will down load it.

Maybe. Dunno.

But to me, it looks like a really clever bit of kit that all the scientists say is vital to get this thing busted.

If a few get scared, well, sorry. Its not like this is being wheeled out after one day is it?
