Looking at that I don't think pubs will be open til after stage 5. Closer to Xmas maybe. Notice it says large social gatherings to be restricted. I mean a busy pub is a large social gathering on paper. Shame that, I'm dying for a pint

I heard to today via a local shopkeeper that the little corner pub by me, where all the old fellas and day time drinkers go, won’t be opening up again, as even with the deferred rent payments they‘ve lost too much already to ever be a going concern again.

It’s a life line for the old boys that drink in there and I’ve no idea what they will do if it goes

You'll find this initial lockdown has sunk many local and independent businesses already. The longer it goes on the more that sink. Corporations will benefit the most from all of this.

I suspect ‘large social gatherings’ might be closer to a footy match than a pub tbh.

It said weddings mate if you read it there, that's why I'm thinking that. Most weddings are 200 or less. Some bars can hold more than that and even small bars can hold about 200

Having read this I’ve changed my mind.
The ‘we haven’t changed our methods’ is actually ‘we’ve just added new ways if counting’.
Its lies.
And the fact that people accept lies as expected is the scariest thing ever.
It’s a disgrace tbh.

They could still technically do it in a month or less and just start next season a bit later and finish late May or June next year.
So they start playing in July, finish nine sets of games, plus the FA Cup in a month, then go straight into the 2020/21 season, then onto the Euros, and start the following season early, play the World Cup over Christmas, then see the players collaps from exhaustion.

What could possibly go wrong?

Just like the 19,000 new nurses they were prattling on about during the election. Even being called out on it did nothing .
