I think its less helpful now that they are offering tests to everyone.
Im not suggesting its a negative, but if we wanted our household could all get tests and none of us have symptoms.

Not sure I'm any wiser though and can't understand how they get figures a week ahead of when they are produced by ONS.@Catfish Blues kindly directed me to these guys for data on excess deaths across Europe that also includes UK figures. Report is up to calendar week 17 which I think ends 26th April and data for week 18 but can’t see it defined anywhere.
