No I am not joking. He handed over the medical bloke, and in 20 seconds ish he said the measurement of tests has not changed. In a direct response to the journo who asked if the system had been changed.

Ah. My post was about the first question about the number of home tests from, I think, the sky guy. Think you’re talking about the lady who followed up and asked about has the measurement changed.

I was, yeah. I tend to blank the politicians, but tend to listen to the clever blokes.

Hancock’s complete flummoxing at the question of whether NI should following an all-Ireland approach to easing restrictions was clearly something he wasn’t briefed on .

There is definite merit in this.

That's an offended face btw @roydo

When they were getting pelters for only testing 20000, they got grief. Now, using the same metrics, they are testing 122000, they get pelters.

Yeah, but then they were failing, now they are not so the haters hate them even more....

Wasn't there a stat a few years ago suggesting around the same number would struggle to pay an unexpected bill of £500? It was a high number whatever it was, so given the scale of the financial disruption, it doesn't surprise me that a great many are going to struggle.
Yeah.

When I started that post I was thinking one dimensionally in how people are affected by the shutdown. But then I realised, maybe they would still have struggled before the shutdown.

even acknowledging the politician in a press conference means you've voted for them now, roydo

Funnily enough, I was quite open that I voted Conservative last election. 100% down to being utterly fed up with 3 years of brexit deadlock.

That now seems an age ago now!

Spin aside, I think they are doing Ok. That said, the UK population are really doing their bit as well. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy when the UK delivers as a collective. London 2012 was the last time that I can recollect.

Of course testing is important, we should be doing more testing to find out who has the virus, tracing those who have come into contact with that person, so we can find out a much better figure of those infected along with those that have passed away so we can gauge whether we can ease lockdown and are at the peak or not. Claiming that 122 000 have been tested yesterday, when they haven't, is misleading the British public. 50 000 in the post - when a sample has not been carried out, not posted and not tested is deception. Hancock needed to deceive to save face. Not to be trusted.

No one believes that lying sack of excrement.

Had to laugh reading 15 mcdonalds stores will be opening for delivery only business - can you imagine how busy they are going to be lol

Either open them all for delivery or none at all surely?
