I'm not anti-mask. Actually think we should be wearing them in public with caveats.

But we need to educate the public. Add this to the list of government failings.

This was the case for me this morning. If the supermarket cashier was infected then I most probably am too now.

I don't understand where that information came from. It says ONS but ONS have only released death statistics up until 17th April today. The figures to 24th April will be released next Tuesday,

So if you die and tested positive for covid. This will go down on your death certificate but is covid the reason why you died?

I think it's taken as contributing to your death mate. So, if you had heart problems and died of a heart attack and tested positive for Covid or had symptoms then the virus contributed to your death even though it was a heart attack. I think that's the case, if not I'm sure someone will come along and correct me.

Govt were told we were way under stocked and under prepared for a pandemic in 2016 after a major review, told multiple times to increase the PPE stockpile, not a single medical gown was in the stock, they didn't buy one gown to put in the pandemic contingency.

I'll give you a perfect example of Tories spinning lies, when you hear Hancock/Raab/Gove quoting how much PPE has been supplied to Hospitals, they are counting the left hand glove and the right hand glove as two pieces of PPE.

Gloves are the top of the table for the PPE item most supplied, and that's because they count each hand separately, doubling the amount supplied.

The 'safeguarding' minister was on the radio this morning saying shed never heard of the 2016 report warning that a stockpile was required. This lot are amateurs.

Person 2 goes to work on the tube wearing a mask because it's safe

I'd say person 2 is more likely to transmit than person 1.

That's not a valid argument though. You must compare with and without in the same environment.

But a major argument against them is that they encourage people to go out when ordinarily they would not. Answer me this. Pick an elderly relative of yours. Would you encourage them to go outside if they had a mask on?

I'm that elderly relative and I'll be going out when the lockdown is eased, but only if mask wearing is mandetory in public places.
I will not be going if its only me with a mask.
