I think it’s tough for a lot of Scousers to understand how others from the same city can support a)the tories but specifically b) Johnson . The self pity city stuff when he was editor touched a nerve with many of us , doesn’t mean you can’t disagree pete but I didn’t like it and I find I remember stuff like that .

There are some on here however who seem to think that there are no Tory voters in Liverpool, even forgetting that it was once a Tory controlled city. But there are... always has been, always will...that’s the nature of life.....

Long story short - less unified than I've seen it in my lifetime and an high degree of cultural differences between regions, states and even within states.

I made this point very early on in the various US political threads. I hate seeing Americans pulling in different directions and taking a far left or far right view without any acceptance of the others opinion. I expect it these days in the U.K. but was genuinely sad to see it it the USA......

That’s because what he wrote, however stupidly, does seem to describe you to a tee. Now put away the claims that somehow you are either a better Evertonian or scouser because of your tribal political beliefs....

Not counting care homes is a joke as well btw.
I got to speak to step mum last night and she said 'they've all got it'.
4 on her companys rounds have already died and 9 in hospital she said.
If this is replicated across the UK, a lot of deaths are being kept off these figures in my opinion.

So having tested positive and this weekend negative after a couple of weeks off, my step mum returned to work tonight.
8 off her round of 30 odd have now died. ( Birkenhead )
100+ of the 600 odd patients of the whole company's clients have now died.
Absolutely staggering figures and I will love to know how the first shift back goes tonight.
I would imagine loads of the elderly are scared big style.

As has been said by others in here, we are behind Europe, we just need to watch what happens when they open up again. It looks like China may we’ll be getting a second wave, but no one believes anything from there now anyway, so we need to look at Spain and Italy as to what may happen.....
