Are we still in lockdown? (I am any way for at least another 7 weeks). Are we coming out of lockdown soon? Or later? Or much later? No one seems to have a fecking clue about this, least of all the useless tosser Bozo and his team of incompetents. Where are we on testing for symptoms? Or PPE for frontline workers?

Heartbreaking, her poor family.

The consequences on the mental health and well-being of millions of people is going to be profound, and I think it'll last for years - maybe decades.

We're talking about PTSD for those on the front-line, difficulties to isolation, compulsive disorders and people simply struggling to interact as they once were.

Also, it may only be my opinion but while there are many more ways of speaking out and getting help, the stoic attitude of generations before may not be there.

This may have dire consequences, which will actually kill or harm more than the virus. For example: what will divorce figures be like? Domestic violence?

+1 more if Boris doesn't let me out soon.

The funniest thing is when I've been queueing up at the supermarket and someone coughs, you can see the daggers the person who coughed is getting and almost hear the noise of peoples feet shuffling away. It's got to the point where you can't actually cough anymore. lol
Try sneezing mate.....Bomb blast.

Gets you to the front of the que quicker

Where to people on the forum get the idea, the uk public are aginst the US?
Each month UK public send the Us 120m for amazon prime, over 200m for netflix, thats over £3 billion a year just for those 2 services.
We are being fleeced, but knowingly.
If we sold the nhs, people would accept it.

While nobody (to the best of my knowledge) has said they're against the US, I'm pretty confident that people don't intrinsically link those companies with the US.

Yes they were formed there and are primarily based there, with an American cultural base or identity, but that does not mean they're one and the same.

I'm currently wearing a pair of Lacoste trainers, but I don't think I am making a statement that is pro-France or that I'm somehow under their spell.

I like their trainers... like, I like Amazon's ease. The point was that the government, if they did want to sell the NHS, probably wouldn't be looking at the US right now.

The danger period economically is not now imho as you can shame banks and landlords into deferrals.

The danger period will be if we do not exit this situation in a month or two.... to then be out of lockdown victory declared and people still self enforcing.

I can only really speak for my own situation where the worry for people is total lockdown for months.... then Sweden style where you are 30/50 percent of what you would have been previously....without the furlough savings and all those third parties whom held off come in for their money.

Supplies and lenders will be down in income and need their money and so will the courts etc so it will get nastier then and I expect a another round of unemployment as furlough ends and new normal starts.
