Look outside it's already "slightly eased".Slightly eased might be a better way of putting it mate.

Seems doubtful at the momentIs right.
The lockdown is almost certain to be lifted next week
Lockdown easing and people ignoring it are two separate thingsLook outside it's already "slightly eased".
Always Bradford Bruce.
We've not even been in 'Lockdown'
Fair point, mental health issues this will bring will cause a massive surge in boozingLiver damage too given the amount of booze people will be lashing into them.
have we not ? So people havent Been told not visit friends and family and for various periods that only essential shopping and travel were permitted ? People haven’t been challenged , given tickets or even arrested for ‘unnecessary travel ‘ Or moved off from park benches ? Pubs and restaurants not been closed by the government ?
I accept that this lockdown wasn’t as strict as other counties and there is certainly a valid point of view it could have been stricter , it could also be argued it wasn’t imposed as quickly as it could have been . Personally though I do think to correct posters who talk about a lockdown feels like you’re playing semantics
I'm not playing anything, and i'm certainly not trying to offend - but some the exasperated language we hear about 'coming out of lockdown' makes it sound like we've all been forced to stay within our properties and not be allowed out in fear of serious repercussions
We won't be 'coming out of lockdown' anytime soon because
a) We didn't close things quickly enough
b) We didn't stop allowing people into the country quickly enough
c) We didn't place strict enough rules for the lockdown (like they did in Italy and France) - They've actually loosened the lockdown already (foolishly IMO) to allow for extended travel for exercise and to allow people to stop and eat their lunch/take in the sights during their daily exercise
d) The government hasn't given the Police adequate powers to actually punish people who are deliberately flouting the guidelines
e) This country is full of stupid, selfish, ignorant knobheads that don't think this pandemic applies to them because nobody they know has contracted it as yet
I'm saving my liver till this is all over. Then I'm going to pummell it.Liver damage too given the amount of booze people will be lashing into them.
Bradford is often referred to as the Tokyo of Yorkshire. At least it's not Tokyo I suppose.
