The fact that she's Greek makes it even better/worse

It's a pretty risky strategy. As the screenshot from Facebook earlier showed, with the fake accounts spewing out automated garbled syntax, it risks making them look incompetent as well as dishonest. That they seemed completely oblivious to how concerned people were when they renamed the official Twitter account to a fact checking service underlines just how far down this particular rabbit hole they appear to have gone.

Incidentally, who is this John O'Connell bloke? He seems to have published the odd bit of completely unrelated stuff on the Guardian, but not for a few years. Can't see much else about him anywhere (and it turns out the John O'Connell on the Guardian is actually the husband of Cathy Newman, so a completely different person)

As highlighted above Pete, the NHS hired a bloke (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jinsahota/?originalSubdomain=uk if you're interested) to sort out procurement and logistics in the wake of a damning report into the wastage through poor procurement across the NHS. For all the commentary above, I'm not sure any of us have the first clue what that bloke has done, what challenges he's faced, what failures he has presided over. There are various bits of 'what' seeping out via the press, but very little understanding of 'why', so people just project their biases onto the situation to explain away what I'm almost certain they have no clue about.

I just been having a read of his background and experience. Years ago I was a guest speaker at a Procurement Conference and I posed a question to the delegates regarding levels of seniority and business experience within procurement. My train of thought being that in many large organisations, the people managing a supply route may well understand their role, but they face off with suppliers who have vastly more business experience, I.e. a procurement officer having to deal with a CEO. They get ripped off because while they are with the ‘big’ company, they are actually junior people and many if not all smaller companies are actually run by people who are head and shoulders above them. The guy you identified, while being a Procurement professional, joined from a small company and doesn’t appear to have overseen anything on the scale (value/complexity) seen within the NHS, nor does he appear to have any business operating experience. He may well be a really good guy, but looks a bit junior tbh....The Olympics guy is a banker but has 6 years of leading the London Olympics programme. Hopefully will have the clout to get things done quickly.....we‘ll see I suppose, but I hope he hits the ground running.....

Please just think it through. Can you really imagine that a minister would go out on a limb, deliberately lie, open themselves wide up to anyone wanting to push out a malicious leak, and yet gain absolutely no benefit from saying what he said. Really.....

Indeed, no minister of the crown would ever tell an intentional falsehood would they?

Or whomever presumably owns the copyright on the photo. If these were being used to ensure accurate information got out or something I could perhaps understand it, but to puff up the 'heroism' of Johnson is utterly absurd.
As you alluded to earlier: this lot have failed to understand that their black ops in misinformation/disinformation is no longer "clever", it's now a huge negative issue for them and adds to the level of distrust.

Just received confirmation of Grant payments for both the pub and the shop. The Local Council have done an amazing job with this. I even received a call over the weekend from them just to confirm that everything was progressing and got written confirmation today. Together with the furlough and other measures, it‘s really keeping businesses afloat.....

I’m just trying to balance the view, which is currently so lobsided with claims of Murder etc etc, yet does not reflect the view of the majority of the U.K. A delivery of ppe has not arrived as expected. Meanwhile deliveries of ppe are actually being sent out from the U.K. to other countries. It’s a shambles, no argument from me. But is it the fault of the guy in front of the camera, his ministerial colleague, or perhaps the fault lies within the treacle of the bureaucracy. The government have appointed the Olympics guy to get a grip and sort it out. This is good as he will understand logistics and hitting a date. Just trying to put another view and breakout from the left wing groupthink.....

The blame lies with all those from top to bottom mate and the buck stops with Boris because he is top of that tree.
