Hmmm the death rate was awful in italy and they dont have anywhere near the same level of BAME as places like the UK & US.

Sadly.. It's bang on.
Her round in Birkenhead is now up to double figures in deaths.

And she's just this second been confirmed as positive for the virus via text.

It's so weird though. Because the place where my mum usually works (she goes in to help the carers with just two people who are family friends - take them out for the day and what not) has not had one case of it. That shutdown four weeks ago - but surely every care home will have gone on lockdown at the same time?

The need to factor out older age and underlying health conditions then see how it compares. Ethnicity has rumbled from onset, however, it does not fit certain political and economic agendas in the west that are playing out. My eldest, who lives with them has shown no symptoms, but clearly must have it I would assume ?
The care home my daughter works in has yet to have a case, they arent allowed to wear masks in case they "scare the old people". The problem is the sheer amount of Agency staff they use, so you would assume its only a matter of time........

ffs, what a stupid reason for not wearing ppe. Ridiculous.
The place where my mum goes is pretty high end - I mean, it's like a hotel in there, but to me it's still horrid cause I can't think of anything worse than being in one. It seems to be a lot of dementia patients, but I believe any 'agency' staff or part-timers like my Mum (who isn't employed by the home but works in a visiting capacity for the families of people in there) have all been told not to go in since the shutdown.
Hopefully it stays that way like and they don't have any cases.
I'm sure you'll know since your daughter works in one but care homes usually shut down at the earliest sign of bugs going around and stuff. It might even have made it harder to get accurate data, too.
I don't want to put words in their mouth, but I think he's suggesting the virus is racist.
