you say that but the stats are that still age , obesity , underlying health issues and possibly even ethnicity are factors . It seems impossible To me to argue age isn’t a factor when you read the stats .

it absolutely is, but as has been said people have to realise that it can affect everyone

it is but up until a couple of days ago in this country I think 92% of the fatalities were over 60 . That’s got to be telling, that not just an indicator surely ?
Things like age, obesity and underlying health conditions probably put people at a higher risk of death from any number of causes so stands to reason that it’s the same with COVID-19.

i’m Certainly not dismissing that , I’m 51 so I’m in the zone where it’s a potential issue , but I think you also have to view the figures for what they are .

You do, but people really shouldn't be talking about zones.

All people need to realise is that anyone can get this and it can kill you even if you have no underlying health conditions. If you are sensible, you can prevent you getting it as well as you passing it on to your loved ones.

Likewise, as someone who has overweight hypertension as a consequence of a sedentary career for the last 7 or 8 years (although have been doing a lot of running the past 8 weeks) and a very light smoker I’m concerned about getting it. I’d rather not role the dice even though I’m sure there are plenty of others with more serious health conditions.

ok what's your point? do you think there were less deaths yesterday than reported? or are there potentially lots of deaths from yesterday that will be reported in a few days or a week.

"Of the 823 new hospital deaths announced today by NHS England, 115 occurred on 10 April while 695 took place between 1-9 April.

The remaining 12 deaths occurred in March, with the earliest new death taking place on 25 March."

How does that work? Presumably the 'daily death count' for yesterday will also have had deaths that occurred from the 1-9 April if that's how it works?
