TBF a lot of those rumblings are from the sort of commentators (the likes of Young and that gimp from Spiked to name two) who have got every aspect of this crisis badly wrong, on top of a record of getting everything else that led up to this badly wrong, and who have been chuntering for the past few days that the lockdown needs to be lifted (either because they hate other human beings or because of the threat to the newspaper industry).

I’d read it here - https://www.cebm.net/covid-19/reconciling-covid-19-death-data-in-the-uk/ after the bloke had been on newsnight last night. All it does is illuminate that why answers on lifting the lockdown have been swatted away, because it’s unclear if anyone knows really what is going on.

Anyone fed up with their neighbours yet? Mines a builder and he's never stopped making noise - be it jet washing to hammering things to drilling I mean have a day off ffs.

Only good thing has been his trophy wife occasionally sunbathes in the garden topless so I get to have a little peekarooney when doing the polishing upstairs.

The grave being prepared in NYC is a long established one, for those who die without kin/money or both.

Thats not the point mate, and I am not having a pop.

But the media, all of them, are frantic for headlines to get clicks and sales. "Mass grave in NYC" is a good one. Fact is, its an established mass grave, that needs extending cos its full up.

Its not great, and thank the lord we dont have that attitude in the UK, but you posted it as a fact, after consuming the said media spin.

Can’t have cases without testing

That doesn't really make sense regarding cases to deaths mate. Say testing was ramped up tomorrow then more cases that aren't requiring hospitalisation or aren't resulting in death is a good thing no?

Most the confirmed cases we have now are from testing or from people who have required hospitalisation or confirmed to have the virus upon death. So mass testing would see those percentages fall no? As the percentages we have now are against only confirmed cases.

I heard it on a news bulletin, just seen the news on BBC1it the poor and destitute people in New York sickening to watch - my own grandmother on my father's side is in such a grave when my wife did our families history - horrible to learn that all them years later dying a pauper .....no grave to visit no records back then .....

The virus is still circulating so still very much needed. Besides hospitals use PPE daily even in non-pandemic times
