Police.

Not really. M5 is like a church. Has been for weeks. Granted, some folk have gone, but not the masses.

If they'd have thought it would have made a difference, the government should have had the balls to do it weeks ago

And what about the other counties with 'beauty areas'? Cumbria? North Wales?

I assume they will try, Police that is, but I am less aware of the pinch points for ^^^ them. Cornwall has 2 main roads into it. And 95% of folk drive above my house to get there, so it will be interesting to see the traffic tomorrow, late morning through to 4 pm are the peak.

The numbers don't make sense anyway mate - Nobody knows how we're recording anything

Well they just act to give a general idea. It's the same the world over.

We know more people have had this virus don't we, I'm sure they know it too. And the vast majority have recovered and probably didn't even show symptoms.

We do need more tests and it's ridiculous that we aren't stepping it up.

This was the press release from earlier

A further 765 patients have died in hospital in England, bringing the total to 7,248 - up from 6,483 the day before.

Of the 765 new confirmed reported hospital deaths announced today by NHS England, 140 occurred on 8 April while 568 took place between April 1 and April 7.

The remaining 57 deaths occurred in March, including two on 19 March and one on 16 March.

We can't apply any sort of methodology to the numbers when they've been calculated in such a random way!

seemed a lot more people driving today along the Embankment
The roads in Liverpool have been busier in the past few hours than we’ve been seeing in the past two weeks and definitely more than we’d like.

The Chief Con has already issued orders to start pulling traffic more regularly, especially during certain hours of the day, as of midday today.
