Numbers add up:
UK Total cases = 60,733

UK Deaths 7097
UK Active Cases 53,501
UK Recoveries 135

7,097 + 53,501 + 135 = 60,733

So we must either be holding off on reporting recoveries as being still active, or something very weird is going on. I agree we probably have better healthcare chan Ecuador.

I would ignore active cases and recoveries. The key numbers really are deaths and the number being treated in hospital...

Yes we do, but I don't think that's the cause of this anomaly, otherwise we would also have a huge disparity in deaths per population, which we don't.
When ICU bed is spoken about in health this includes the appropriate number of health professionals to manage them, exactly where a Tory will find the wiggle room to apply their ideologies. Because most people will have no idea what it intails to manage a ICU bed and why would they.

We will post figures of over 900 deaths for a few days this week.
That will need a reaction.
Only my opinion like, but this bank holiday weekend is now crucial.
We will see... hope your wrong because i couldnt face it my mental health be in gutter

Yer its very likely isnt it.. parks and places are chocker today and yday.. fair bit of sunbathing going on etc...

Its weird. I live near Bristol, and day after day, the lowest region for bother has been the South West. I just havnt seen the sort of stuff that you have. The barometer on the Bellend Easter will be the traffic, south bound, on the M5 that I live under on Thursday and Friday.

Jammed, (as per every weekend), trouble ahead. If not, maybe some daylight. Will let you all know.

The slides and stuff they are showing these last few days suggest they dont reckon there will be any need to make them stricter.

Just hope that this coming long weekend (ha ha no ones working anyrate), wont be known as Bellend Easter in years to come.
A colleague of mine reported Crosby and Formby beach as resembling ‘Copacabana’ this afternoon, so I wouldn’t bet on it.

Yer if you go our parks here etc you wouldnt think anythin was wrong with the world

You pay tax on your income, not your wealth. If you own a house, you don't get taxed on its value every year.
We do in Ireland local property tax it's a percentage based on the value of your house.

fwiw, and bear in mind I'm just some blert on the internet, I think that by the time all the deaths have been registered, we'll see between 20 and 30,000 COVID-19 related deaths by the end of June.

I checked road closure/slow traffic etc earlier on google maps. The main arteries are normally a sea of red and amber. Apart from a small section on M25 red and the one you mentioned on M5 Amber, the rest of the country looked fine....may have changed though....

The main beach down here is Weston Super Mare. Been deserted. Got an ace pier and everything as well. Its a magnet for Birmingham though, so lets see.

Same in Ireland, likely because to confirm someone has recovered, guidelines say you need to test negative twice, that means using 2 test kits to confirm a recovery, these test kits are in short supply and are better used to confirm positive infections.

lol

I am an absolute whopper in watching the traffic. Needed to in an earlier life. Habits and that.

But yeah, I was pleasantly surprised.
