Why isn't the constitution and the bill of rights taught in the UK state education system?

I'm starting to think this is true, especially as you've stated; contrary to my own personal experience, other testimony on the forum and evidence to the contrary, that it is fact.

I think he means the United States Constitution.

This is what I don’t get about this bizarre point of view, it would seem to follow that the UK is some sort of left leaning, communist friendly, socialist hotbed. But our electoral history doesnt seem to reflect that.

I work in travel, and we've just been told that hundreds of people have been stood down in our company.

Given the world situation, obviously it's hardly surprising, but I'm absolutely gutted for my work friends. My job is safe (at least for the moment), but I'm having terrible feelings of survivor guilt.

My daughter said the same. Different industry but her friend in work was made redundant while my daughter was allowed to work from home. She felt exactly the same....

So I'll tie this in. Our political correctness has blindsided us to the Chinese Governments either willful incompetence or deliberate sabotage that leads us here.

As a consequence, thousands maybe millions will die and our economies will be wrecked.

And I accuse perverse political bias in our education systems as the rotten core that blindsided us to the danger.

It's their cheap goods and money to invest that swings it. Being a Robert Owen, rather than Marx I've always been rather suspicious of China, and it's our Tory Governments that opened the country legs and gave uncle XI the full red carpet and allowed him to plant his nuclear bombs plants all over the place!. I do have a feeling 5g is coming up very soon, so I better get out and do some work...

If you've got time on your hand, go and buy E.H. Carr's book - What is History? With regards to the constitution, what do you expect them to teach?

We don't have a written constitution like many other countries, and when I studied it at degree level it was pretty complicated then due to the ad hoc nature.

However, children do learn about Magna Carta, Henry II vs. Thomas Beckett, the Civil War and other key parts of our constitutional history. So...

Anyway, I hope the pasta strainer and tin foil is locked away in your house for your own benefit.

A close relative of mine (who is rarely ill and generally fit as a butchers) had the same illness at the beginning of Jan. Lasted about a week and then they were right as rain again.

High Temp, Dry Cough, headaches and aching all over. Couldn’t get out of bed for 2-3 days.

Same here friend of mine had the same early February. Think it highly likely it was here early to mid January its a small world and it was rife in China at that time.
I know theirs no test yet but you would think it would possible to give an estimate of how many people have had this virus working off that basis.Its probably quite a high percentage of people.

I had the same thing start of february and it knocked me on my arse for a week. I asked to get tested but was told there was no need.

Im convinced I've already had it.

I was awful in February, in bed for about 5 days. I'm hoping I've had it and my immune system has done it's job.

I live in London and work in Westminster. About a month ago I randomly lost my sense of taste and smell for a fair few days. Also had a night of breaking out in to cold sweats and an occasional cough.

Now there is some evidence that losing sense of taste and smell is a symptom of Covid-19, so I am similarly hoping.
